A writer and a designer sittin' in a tree...

w-o-r-k-i-n-g!

A match made in heaven.

For the past three weeks I've been preaching about how much I wanted department writers and department designers to meet with one another to discuss how the story would look on the page. A number of writers said they had no idea how much to write and what angle to take. The answer: Get with a designer and allow the creativeness to flow.

I didn't hear any stories of whether this worked or not until Kelly Walker said her designer and how it worked amazingly. Neither of the two knew exactly what to do, but after they met it turned into a beautiful design for a 2-page spread. I'm so happy this happened to at least one writer.

If anyone out there reads this and you were in the same boat, please blog about how your ideas came to look on the page.
