Karyn's passion rests in the visual media aspect of journalism, with the belief that photography and mixed media can tell a complete story without ever having to venture to read the article. It stimulates and intrigues the eye to want to know more and to understand the concept of the piece.

Karyn treks on with the understanding that life is unpredictable. It is what stimulates her desire to learn and to be aware of what is going on everywhere that she cannot physically be. This probably hints at the part of her that is completely visual; however, being aware that each day she can wake up and plan her day in the hopes that it will go her way, where in reality, it is up to the universe to direct her in its own direction.
