Lisa Kislingbury Anderson

  • Associate Editor

Biography:

Lisa grew up around her hometown paper's newsroom and gleaned from her father a love of community, people, and narrative journalism. That foundation fuels her today as she fuses her background in magazine and news with multimedia skills. Lisa admires great storytellers and believes their art form will never die.

Lisa's new favorite book is "Delaying the Real World: A Twenty-something's Guide to Seeking Adventure." Dreams about post-graduation adventures make her tick, along with a life philosophy called "Barefootin'" she learned last summer in Mississippi while living with a Southern writer. Barefootin' means to release your fears, walk into the unknown and get your feet muddy –– to be immersed in something deeper than yourself. Lisa will always barefoot from one adventure to the next.

Education:

  1. BA, Magazine Journalism
  2. Minors: Spanish, Women's and Gender Studies
